Joint Task Force Marawi, Kampo Ranao, Marawi City, September 21, 2017 — President Rodrigo Roa Duterte flew to Marawi to preside the donning of 2-star general rank to Maj. Gen. Rolando Joselito Bautista, Commander of Joint Task Force Marawi and Philippine Army’s 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division in a ceremony held in Kampo Ranao, Marawi City on September 21, 2017.

MGen. Bautista has been the hands-on ground commander of focused military operations against the terrorists in Marawi City since day 1 of the crisis on May 23, 2017. He has been personally supervising the deployment of troops in the battle zone as well as non-battle military activities in the Marawi periphery.
