People of Zamboanga City declare Communist Terrorist Group as persona non grata

CAMP SANG-AN, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur – The Zamboanga City Peace and Order Council (ZCPOC) has passed and approved the Resolution No. BC- 3 series of 2019 declaring the CPP-NPA Terrorist (CNT) and all its front organizations as Persona-Non-Grata covering all thirty-one (31) Barangays under Zamboanga City.

During the peace and order council meeting, the Task Force Zamboanga led by its commander, Colonel Leonel Nicholas, presented the security situation and relayed to the ZCPOC the possible future threat posed by the CNT and all its front organizations that will propagate fear to the general public and disrupt the economic stability of the city.

Hon Maria Isabelle G Climaco, City Mayor of Zamboanga City and Chairperson of ZCPOC said “I encourage all other government officials to stand and fight against the CPP-NPA Terrorist. Let us keep our peaceful community stay united and work in convergence to foster development and economic growth for our next generations.”

Meanwhile, Brigadier General Roberto Ancan, commander of the Army’s 1st Infantry (TABAK) Division and Joint Task Force ZamPeLan, said “The government of Zamboanga City headed by Mayor Maria Isabelle G Climaco, together with other government agencies and stakeholders, have made the right and appropriate action against the communist terrorist group that will ease and hasten our campaign in sustaining peace and development.”

“We are calling the help of the local communities, especially the local chief executives in the areas of ZamPeLan (Zamboanga Peninsula and Lanao provinces) to pass the same resolution to stop the CPP-NPA Terrorist destroying our peaceful communities,” BGen Ancan concluded.
