CAMP SANG-AN, Labangan, ZDS – The 1st Infantry (TABAK) Division assigned two office chiefs and a battalion commander after the joint change of office and change of command held here, Thursday, October 24, 2019.
Col. Nolie Anquillano relinquished his two posts, Division Inspector General to Col. Randolph Rojas and Governance and Strategy Management Office to Col. Gregorio Nieveras.
Anquillano will be assigned as deputy brigade commander of the 103rd Infantry (HARIBON) Brigade based in Marawi city.
Rojas is a member of Philippine Military Academy (PMA) class of 1992. A graduate of Command and General Staff Course (CGSC) and Masters in Public Management Major in Development and Security, a prerequisite for the key position he now assumed.
During his assumption speech, he thanked the command for the trust and confidence in designating him as the Chief of Division Inspector General. He also encouraged the Tabak troopers to work together in order to achieve the goals.
Nieveras vowed to provide leadership and direction of the office in order to attain or reach the command to Institutionalized stage the way to Army’s Transformation Roadmap.
Col, Benjamin Batara, the presiding officer, commended Anquillano who efficiently accomplished the job despite a very demanding tasks.
CHANGE OF COMMAND
Later today, Lt. Col. Manuel Valdez IV, 1st Civil Military Operations (MAHIGALAON) battalion commander, was replaced by Lt. Col. John Andrada, the former 97th Infantry commanding officer.
Valdez will be assigned to General Headquarters of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
Maj. Gen Roberto Ancan, commander of 1ID and the presiding general, advised the incoming and outgoing battalion commanders to show the same passion and dedication in the performance of duty in implementing the government’s initiatives and advocacies.
“Let us look forward in achieving our mission and always bear in mind the duties and responsibilities we hold” Ancan concluded.
