Drug Pushers, 6.8 Million Drugs Nab in Lanao Sur

CAMP SANG-AN, Labangan, ZDS –An estimated market value of 6.8 million pesos crystalline substance suspected “shabu” were seized and two drug personalities were arrested by the joint law enforcement operations of PDEA BARMM, PNP, 82nd Infantry Battalion and 103rd Infantry Brigade in MSU Commercial Center, Brgy. Dimalna, Marawi City, 11:30 am Wednesday, January 29, 2020.

The arrested personalities were identified as Jamal Manumbilao Tocalo also known as alias Jun and Muhajir Usman Samad through a buy bust/entrapment operation.

The government forces also recovered 1.6 million pesos buy-bust money, two pieces driver’s license, two leather wallets and Yamaha Aerox motorcycle.

According to the Col. Jose Maria Cuerpo II, 103rd Infantry Brigade Commander, “The success of this operation is attributed to the close collaboration among different law enforcement agencies in the campaign against illegal drugs”.

“Proper coordination among law enforcement units and timely execution greatly helped our forces in the successful conduct of operation”, Cuerpo added.

For his part, Brig. Gen. Generoso “Gene” Ponio, the 1st Infantry Division and Joint Task Force Zampelan (Zamboanga Peninsula and Lanao Provinces) commander, lauded the troops involved for the successful arrest of drug personalities.

“Your Tabak trooper is always ready to assist and contribute in any joint law enforcement and support operations to ensure the security and protection of the constituents in our area of operation”, said Ponio.
